Works Route Card

Bar to component, nine operations.

Every brass part follows the same disciplined route through our works — with a quality gate between each operation.

01

OP / 010Design & Feasibility

Your drawing or sample is studied for manufacturability; geometry, material grade and tooling route are fixed before any metal moves.

02

OP / 020Dies & Tooling

Forging dies, fixtures and gauges are prepared and proofed against the approved drawing.

03

OP / 030Material Intake

Free-cutting brass rod (CW614N / CW617N / IS 319) is checked for composition and dimension at intake — certified lots only.

04

OP / 040Bar Cutting

Rods are cut into billets sized to each component, keeping scrap and forging flash to a minimum.

05

OP / 050Hot Forging

Billets are heated and forged in dies — the dense grain structure gives forged fittings their strength and leak-tightness.

06

OP / 060Trimming

Excess flash is trimmed from the forged blank before it moves to machining.

07

OP / 070Machining & Threading

Traub and CNC turning to drawing — Ø 2–50 mm, tolerance to ±0.01 mm. BSP, NPT, Metric, BSW or UNC/UNF threads gauged GO / NO-GO.

08

OP / 080Finishing

Deburring and polishing; nickel, tin or chrome plating where specified for corrosion resistance and appearance.

09

OP / 090Inspection & Dispatch

Final dimensional and visual inspection against the drawing, then counted, packed and dispatched with documents on request.
